  2. Select the website to alter and choose the Tax and Freight tab
  3. In the Tax panel, set the tax rate - For example for 10% enter 10

Setting product prices as inc or ex-tax

  1. Navigate to Admin > Config > Websites
  2. Select the website to alter and choose the Tax and Freight tab
  3. To enter your product prices ex-tax, in the Tax panel, check the Product prices ex-Tax box
  4. To show tax as part of the order confirmation total, check the Show Tax inside Total box

Please note that changing these settings does not alter the product prices in any way. However it will effect how prices are shown in order confirmation or invoices if tax is applicable to the item or order.

Individual items placed into a shopping cart may have a tax-free or taxable status. This is controlled by the product template. If no tax status is specified, the default will apply based on the 'Products are TAX-able by default' checkbox.

Setting where tax is displayed on confirmations/invoices

  • By setting the Show TAX inside Total checkbox, tax will be shown as a line item within the order total. This will mean all amounts are ex-TAX.
  • If this checkbox is not ticketed, the TAX will be shown below the order TOTAL and all items will include tax if applicable.
